A lovely Sunday spent exploring some of the most spectacular creeks just down the road in Westland. Hard to spot @katemcd0nald abseiling down this waterfall towards the end of the canyon.
So awesome to get to spend a bit of time in the hills this last few weeks. Even a few over night trips mid week between work! Spotted this buck early on one of our trips and left him to it. And then came across this doe and kids playing the next morning. Pretty amazing how many animals are around our hills when you stop and look. A pleasure to watch them.
This is what lazy Sundays are all about. Kate had wee nap, Baxter kept an close eye on the ducks and I cracked into a good book. #borderterrorist
Last week's float down the Hawea working on the old packrafting skills. So much fun and very much looking forward to getting out into the backcountry again on some bigger adventures with it.
Sunset from our bivy spot the other night looking down onto a lake with and island in it, with an a lake on it with an island in it.... After a 2 hour sufferfest up a very steep hill, sitting down to this with a cold soggy pie I carried up for my dinner was so good.
Bed for the night after boosting from work early with @charlieandjordi for a school night hunt. Big mission, lots of animals and sore legs but bloody good times. Can't beat sleeping in the tussocks
